How to Migrate from Google Drive to Amazon S3 (Business Migration)

To migrate from Google Drive to Amazon S3, you need;
- Google Drive (Google Workspace) admin login details
- Amazon S3 login details
Step 1: Create a CloudFuze Account
Go to webapp.cloudfuze.com and create a CloudFuze account with your work email. Please keep in mind that CloudFuze provides a free trial to test the service. You can add your clouds and transfer up to 10 GB of data.
Alternatively, you can contact CloudFuze for a customized enterprise trial if your data migration needs are large and complex.
CloudFuze offers fully managed Google Drive to Amazon S3 migration. Much of these steps can be avoided if you prefer not to handle them on your own.
Step 2: Add Your Company’s Google Workspace Account
To move files from Google Drive to Amazon S3, you need to add your Google Workspace account to CloudFuze. To do so, you need to locate the G Suite icon listed under the business clouds and click on it.
Step 3: Enter Your Google Workspace Admin Login Details
In the Google’s login window, enter your company’s Google Workspace admin login credentials and click on the Next button.
Step 4: Authorize Google Workspace Account
Click on the Allow button to complete the authorization process.
Step 5: Add Your Amazon S3 Account
Click on the Amazon S3 logo that you can find in the business clouds list and click on it.
Step 6: Enter Amazon S3 Admin Login Credentials
Enter your Amazon S3 account details and click on the Next button.
Step 7: Check the Status of Clouds
Go to Clouds > Manage Clouds, and check whether you can see both Google Drive and Amazon S3 accounts there.
Step 8: Click on Team Migration
Now, click on the Team Migration icon in the menu. This will initiate the migration. However, you need to configure a few options before the actual file migration takes place.
Step 9: Select Source and Destination Cloud Accounts
Select Google Workspace as the source and AmazonS3 as destination and click on the Next button.
Step 10: Create a CSV File
Create a CSV file for mapping the users in Google Workspace and Amazon S3. Once created, upload it to CloudFuze.
Step 11: Select Users to Migrate
Select all the users that you want to migrate and click the Next button. In this demo, we migrated one user from Google Drive to Amazon S3.
Step 12: Review User Mapping
In this window, review how users in the source and destination are mapped and click on the Next button.
Step 13: Select Migration Options
You can choose options such as migration job name, migration job type, and others as per your migration needs.
Step 14: Preview and Start Migration
Check everything one final time and click on the Start Migration button. This will start the file migration process.
Step 15: Data Migration is in Process
During the file migration process, CloudFuze displays the status as In-Progress. Your files will soon be migrated to Amazon S3.
Step 16: Your Google Drive to Amazon S3 Migration Has Been Completed.
The status will be displayed as Processed once the migration is completed.
Step 17: Migrated Files in Amazon S3
As seen in the image, data from Google Drive has been migrated to the Amazon S3 account.
