Meta Workplace to Google Chat Migration Steps
Follow all the steps of Meta Workplace to Google Chat migration we have listed below. Explore the entire process to understand the ease of migration that our tool ensures:
Step 1: Log into CloudFuze
First, log into the CloudFuze webapp by creating an account here.
Step 2: Add the Meta Workplace Cloud
In the dashboard, select the Meta Workplace cloud and click on “Add Cloud.” Add the Access Token and Client Secret to proceed.
Step 3: Add the Google Chat Cloud
Next, locate the Google Chat cloud and add it to our migration webapp by clicking on “Add Cloud.”
Click on “Continue” to authenticate the Google Chat cloud in our webapp.
Step 4: Verify the Clouds Addition
Switch over to the Manage Clouds tab and check to verify if both clouds are added. Next, open the Messages Migration dashboard to start the cloud configuration process.
Step 5: Configure the Source and Destination Cloud
Select Meta Workplace as the source cloud and Google Chat as the destination cloud.
Step 6: Generate the Pre-Migration Report
In the Pre-Migration stage, click on the “Run Pre-Migration” scan to generate the pre-migration reports.
Step 7: Map the Users
Move to the User Mapping stage to map the user accounts from Meta Workplace to Google Chat.
Step 8: Map the Meta Workplace Groups
Next, choose the Meta Workplace groups to migrate. Get started by selecting the list of public groups to migrate.
Once done, switch to the Private Groups tab and select the private groups to migrate.
Step 9: Choose the Direct Messages to Migrate
In the final stage of Direct Messages, select the direct messages user pairs to migrate. Once done, click on “Start Migration” to start the migration process.
Step 10: Check the Migration Reports
After starting the migration, check the status of the ongoing migration. The Reports dashboard will display the “Completed” status after the transfer process gets completed.
