Steps for Migrating from Meta Workplace to Viva Engage
Follow the steps listed below to understand the process of moving from Workplace to Microsoft Viva Engage.
Step 1: Log in to CloudFuze Webapp
Start by creating a CloudFuze account and logging into our migration webapp.
Step 2: Add and Authenticate the Meta Workplace Cloud
After logging in, locate and select the Meta Workplace cloud under the “Business Clouds” section.
Enter the Access Token and Client Secret ID that the Workplace login prompt requires.
Step 3: Add and Authenticate the Viva Engage Cloud
Next, locate and add the Microsoft Viva Engage cloud from the “Business Clouds” section.
Enter the login details that the Viva Engage login prompt requires.
Step 4: Verify the Clouds Addition
Switch to the Manage Clouds tab and check and ensure both clouds, Meta Workplace and Viva Engage, are added properly.
Step 5: Configure the Source and Destination Cloud
Navigate to the Messages Migration section. There, select Meta Workplace as the source and Viva Engage as the destination cloud.
Step 6: Generate the Pre-Migration Report
Next, generate the pre-scan report in the Pre-Migration stage. This report helps you get a snapshot of everything that’s to be migrated, such as the total number of users, messages, and more. Once done, click on Next.
Step 7: Map the User Accounts
Map the user accounts from Workplace to Viva Engage. To do this, create CSV user mappings and upload the CSV file to the webapp. Our tool will then populate mapping data from the CSV file. Once done, click on Next.
Step 8: Select the Groups to Migrate
Select the Groups that you want to migrate from Facebook Workplace to Viva Engage. You can either select all or choose them selectively.
Step 9: Authenticate the Viva Engage User Accounts
Select the Viva Engage user accounts and send authentication email to them. Completing this step facilitates the migration of Meta Workplace users’ messages to the mapped user accounts in Viva Engage.
Step 10: Monitor the Migration Progress
The webapp will redirect you to the Reports dashboard that displays the status of all the ongoing migration.
