Pause/Cancel Migrations When Transitioning from Slack to Teams

In our quest to offer businesses the most advanced Slack to Teams migration capabilities not available elsewhere in the industry, we have added a new feature to our migration tool. With this new feature, you can pause, resume, and cancel migrations of Slack channels and direct messages.

Pause or Cancel Channel Migrations When Transitioning from Slack to Teams

In the Reports dashboard of our tool, you can select any Slack channel that our tool is migrating and take the pause, resume, or cancel action from the buttons highlighted in the screenshot below.

Click on the pause button to temporarily pause the migration of the Slack channel you have selected in the checkbox.

Our tool will then display the “Migration Paused” prompt:

To resume the channel migration process, click on the Continue/Play button highlighted in the screenshot below:

Similarly, you can click on the Cancel button if you wish to stop a specific channel migration altogether.

Pause or Cancel DM Migrations When Transitioning from Slack to Teams

You can also use this new feature to pause or even cancel direct messages migration when making the transition from Slack to Teams. Similar to channel migration, you can select a select direct message pair (between the source and destination cloud users) and perform the pause or cancel action.

If you wish to temporarily pause the migration of any direct message pair, select the desired one-to-one user pair and click on the pause button, as highlighted in the screenshot below:

You can resume the paused DM migration by clicking on the Continue/Play button.

Lastly, you can cancel the DM migration pair you have selected if you do not wish to proceed with the migration.
